We LOVED this wine. It was a perfect bottle; and we drank it as part of a 3-bottle flight -- the other two being a 2001 Kistler Dutton Ranch and an Aubert 2003 Ritchie Vineyard. This HdV beat them both! Almost Corton Charlemagne-like with a perfect balance of grapefruit and honeysuckle, a little creamy with the slightest hint of oak. We were very sad when the bottle was empty! The Aubert was a leaner style -- and it was quite good. We just drank these 3 in the wrong order...

At Michael's Genuine Food w Paul & Arlene Rogoff, and Delia and Brian McDonald. Very good balance chardonnay at this stage, but has lost its youthful acidity and minerality, which I preferred. Time to drink up.

Way past it's prime. Golden and tannic.

Deep golden color. Mineral up front was nice. green apple still there with spice at end. A real treat.
