Found this in my cellar and realized it was nearly 10 years old. I need to watch my inventory better. At any rate this wine has a beautiful color. The taste is smooth but a little clipped on the finish. Good flavor, light butter, muted citrus notes. All in all not a bad wine but if I remember correctly quite expensive due to some “expert” giving it a high score. As I write this the wine is warming up from the cellar temperature and it’s better. Still not a good QPR. My taste in Chardonnay seems to be quite happy in the $20 to $25 range and I need to resist buying above that range.
A: Medium gold N: Medium (+) nose of peach, cream, vanilla, baking spice P: Dry, medium (+) acidity, high alcohol, full body, medium (+) intensity and medium finish I find the oak elements overpowering here and not well integrated so out of balance, The fruit does not persist and I don't find it particularly complex. The intensity is great. I think its good quality but I expected more. Maybe drinking it too late. Who can say?

Went to the 2014 tonight after the 2016 Thursday. Another wow wine. Best Chardonnay in Cali for sure. Golden straw hued, it is 2014 btw. Fresh medium plus acid try. Medium bodied. Silky texture and beautiful viscosity. Orchard fruit, lemon meringue and a mild brioche. Lip smacking good. Give me a few more bottles please. Highest recommendation
