En magnum, purchased on release direct from Peter Michael Winery. Light yellow color. Lovely nose of tropical aromas - pineapple, apricot and lemon with just a hint of mint. Very rich and good acidity counters the 14.9% ABV. Definitely New World sauvignon blanc / semillon in style, but tasty nonetheless. Drinking well today, but will hold for another 3-5 years.

Friday Night Brown Bagger (R&R's): Double blind. Pale color with grassy citrus notes dominating the nose and palate. Subtle straw and earth elements provide depth, with bright acidity supporting it all. There’s a touch of jalapeño in there as well, which stopped me from guessing L’Apres-Midi. Good, if just slightly atypical for this wine. Guessed Napa sauv blanc.
