Decanted only one hour by mistake. It deserved several hours but the wine was delicious from the outset. By the final sips three hours later, this wine was beguiling. It certainly held everything I seek in a Cabernet-heavy Bordeaux style bottle. Soft at entry but wondrous at the finish, this is memorable.

Classic high-end Napa Cab. Immense depth on the palate - juicy, mouthwatering black fruit and cedar. Overripe to my taste - rich, velvety tannins, M- acidity. Exceptional length

After two hours of decanting, this wine was almost flawless! The dark fruit, spice, wood and earth notes melded with beautiful tannin to create a long-playing symphony on my palate!

Napa battle (Napa Grill, Zurich): Cool yet ripe, red and dark cherry fruit. A polished appearance with concentration and almost intellectual depth. Palate is round and lush and as you would expect from a 2014 cool in style. A really solid wine showing Melka‘s craftsmanship. On the downside I would flag the overly tannic mouthfeel, however, and hence best to keep in the cellar for another 3-5 years.

Fantastic wine as usual. Recommended that you give it a 3-4 hour decant before enjoying — those 3-4 hours make a huge difference in this wine’s showing. Much of the oak blew off, really nice pure red fruit profile, aromatically pleasing.
