PnP. Bordeaux like with more fruit and less earth/wood. Velvety texture but lighter and thinner than expected. Wouldn’t turn down a glass.

A really strong showing this weekend. Our bottle was a blend of the 2016 and 2017 vintage and was decanted for 2 hours prior to dinner. This was showing pronounced flavor intensity with a restrained ripeness of fruit more akin to a ripe left bank Bordeaux rather than Napa. Very well integrated use of new french oak which added to the flavor complexity of the wine. A medley of dark black fruit, toasted cedar, and savory spices.

Tasty with Marin French Breakfast Brie. It brought out a salted caramel flavor to the Brie and enhanced the wine. I usually enjoy this cheese with an oaked Chardonnay but found this equally good with this. Consistently good wine each time I try this.
