  Fruit has mostly faded into oblivion, but tannins are still quite present, ending with a clearly drying finish. A surprisingly disappointing 2000.

  Very similar to the previous note (the one before the flawed one!). This has developed into a very nice aged bdx. Lovely savory flavors with some fruit at the core. This lasted nicely over two days. I do think this could go a few more years at least. Far nicer than the earlier bottles I tried. All a bit humbling, as in the early days I thought these were real duds.

  Deep red with orange edge, thin quick drops. Red cherry, undergrowth, musty cellar, leather, stewed red berries nose. Red cnerry, redcurrant, green fruit taste. Mature red on the nose, still a bit tart on the tongue. Probably past its best.
