I have been interested in wine since I was in my late teens -- a neighbor who was into wine opened my eyes when we drank a 1971 Chateau Lyonnat (a lovey St Emilion) that I had bought my parents as a gift. I have a pretty eclectic cellar, and have (mostly) stopped buying wine except for Cayuse. I find that I have more than enough to last a while, and enjoy exploring wines with a bit of age on them that I know have been well stored.

Still very deep dark color. There is some nice development here of secondary and even tertiary flavors. Some dark red fruit, newish leather, some earth notes. But yes a little hot from the high alcohol. Quite pleasant and definitely old world, but the alcohol detracts a bit. Tannins are very fine.

Just a lovely aged Washington cab. Caution. My score is based on my living well aged wines. Lovely forest floor, some nice subdued red fruit, and hints of eucalyptus. What a joy to follow over an evening. After a few hours it was starting to fade. But what a joy to drink. Thank you Full Pull for making this and others available.

This was really singing. That amazing nose of roasted meat, herbs, earth, and who knows what else. The palate followed -- really nice integration of the savory notes with some complementary fruit. Reminds me why I like these wines so much. Unfortunately the 2009 En Cerise that was meant to also be consumed was corked! The risk of the hobby! [Note to self -- not sure which bottle this was; so subtract one from what is left.]
