Man, this one gave the younger Aubert Ritchie a run for its money. This is drinking perfectly at this point. Lots of herbs and yellow peach on the front with probably less acidity than it had a few years ago. Very rounded and full bodied mouthfeel. A little bit of kiwi and pear. Toward the finish, this one still showed a tiny bit of astringency. With the right aging, I think this one still has another three to five years and it without a doubt. Definitely not over the hill, although I would say this one is really close to peak.

This is a beautiful wine, honey, exotic fruit, some spice, light and clean on the palate. It worked well with grilled chicken and trout. In the past I have not enjoyed Martinellis that have aged for too long, but this one has aged well. We have had at least 6 vintages of the Martinelli Road Chardonnay and this is the best one so far. Would drink soon.

Lovely yellow color with a bouquet and flavor of toasty oak with hints of citrus, and with allspice in the finish. Balance just a bit off center with moderate nuance. Pleasant drinking. Second bottle very similar.

Great wine a good example of a big California Chardonnay. Great depth of aromas on the nose, wonderful creamy mouth feel, multiple notes on the nose and an incredibly long finish. This wine does not disappoint.

Very nice bottle. Well integrated. Nicely layered. Only fault a bit too much oak overpowers the fruit. Likely has more life beyond 2016.
