This wine is definitely over the hill. perfect cork - perhaps the most perfect cork I've seen on a 25+ year old bottle. Because of this, I don't think there were any storage issues. Wine looks like a 20 yr old tawny port, and tastes like it too. Warm spices, light caramel, figs. Wile well over the hill - this is still tasty, and is perfect for a random weeknight

The wine bottle's cork was absolutely perfect; with the wine penetration limited to the bottom 1/8 of the cork and the cork still firm and stable.
I filtered the wine through two paper coffee filters, while slowly pouring it into a decanter. At the end of the process, the double filters were impregnated with sediment. One side of the bottle's neck was also dark with sediment.
After waiting 45 minutes, I poured and savored my first glass. The grape taste was alive and fruity, with very, very little tannin. There was a slight spice undertone, that complements a relatively smooth, soft, and lasting finish. As the wine opened over the next hour, the taste and my personal enjoyment continued to improve. On several occasions, I told my wonderful wife, "This wine is really good....."
Bottom Line.
(1) My wife and I have three more bottles. If the remaining bottles are good as this bottle, my wife and I will be very, very happy.
(2) If you can find this wine, grab it. You and your loved ones will no be disappointed.

Superbe Brunello, tout en rondeur et finesse. Les tannins sont soyeux et l'acidité, encore présente, offre de la fraicheur. Mures, cèdre, tabac blond, thé noir. Vraiment bel équilibre entre les aromes.

Cherries and dried prunes.
Tannic structure is still preset after all these years, but soft.
Good length, keeps evolving.
