Lots of spice, white pepper, with a great amount of acidity and tannins. Some anise at the end of the palate, mixed with burnt onion, fig, green pepper, blueberries, and some cinnamon and allspice. Still extremely young. Really coming into its own. Imagine this will improve with time and get better and better.

Another delicious magnum of this; unfortunately my last. Berries, cedar and cigar on the nose. Classic aged Napa Cab. The wine is bricking and threw a fair amount of sediment. The palate reveals cigar box, sandalwood, some mushroom, and delicious berry fruit. There is still slight tannin left on this wine which I did not detect on my previous bottle. This wine is perfectly integrated and drinking very well. The finish is lengthy and makes me want more. Paired perfectly with a 13 hour cooked Pork Roast. Wish I had more of these guys; I believe the Rhodes Cellar provenance was key.

Seriously good wine! The nose reveals berries and cedar, it smells old (not tired) and with nice fruits. The palate reveals the integration. Just delicious, not a tannin left. The wine is a delicious mixture of mitigated cedar, mature fruit, and balanced acidity. I had some concerns about these bottles. It turns out the Rhodes cellar provenance is key. Happy I have another magnum of this. This is ready to go now; I could see that 750ml's are declining. This was not - at peak - Delicious!!
