The joy of drinking DuMol & the Wester Reach Chardonnay again (v19, 14.1% ABV) - 2.5 yrs since I last had this wine in this vintage - still an incredibly intense & lavish RR CH experience. Palate is round, even more tropical than nose w mango & pineapple, loads of citrus, striking acidity, mineral-drenched, long close! Tranquil, somewhat flat & definitely characterless Riesling Feinherb f Weinkellerei Hechtsheim (never heard of them) (v22, 11.5% ABV), easy-drinking in an unblemished way - acceptable for a supermarket-styled wine! Pale straw-yellow, closer to transparent in appearance. Expressive, somewhat cooked nose w fine scents of lime & lemon, pineapple, melon, yellow apples, peach & apricot, quite floral w warm spice. Palate affected by signifikant residual sweetness, tempered by placid acidity, closing juicy, sweet & short!
