Kick-off bottle for the 2024 Dia Internacional da Baga was Filipa Pato’s DNMC aka Dinâmica (v22, 12% ABV) - a very fine entry-level introduction to this grape w grape-specific expressions & the purity & ethereal vibe always at forefront chez Filipa. Beautiful medium ruby, cherry reflections, fully translucent in the glass. Open, intensive nose featuring deep & pure scents of cherries, raspberries, strawberries, black pepper & various dried herbs. Light-bodied, balsamic structure, glou-glou-stylad, fine mature fruit, decent, grippy finish!

Deep ruby purple color, slightly translucent. Nose is earthy and very peppery, made me cough. Little bit of skunkiness that blows off. Palate is spiced and cranberry forward, very tart, balsamic, bitter chocolate.
Not an easy drinker for me but complex and interesting.

Always a little banger, and this vintage is no different. Aromas of perfect dark cherry, strawberry, blood orange, black pepper, fresh herbs, fresh cut roses, a little something roasted, a little yeast and dark soil, mostly fruit though, beautiful fresh fruit... lithe and lively on the palate, medium-bodied and super fresh, beautiful roses and herbs on the inner perfume, fine tannins and not a lot of them, brilliant acidity, the way this wine is tart is so beautiful to me... finish follows through with tart fruit and flowers, this has lovely purity

Smells more natural than the white, meaning more funk and VA. Fresh cherry palate, but then finishes with the natural twang.
