Acker's Post-COVID BYO, Dinner and Auction Simulcast (Craft - New York NY): Small glass, brief note. Tasted just after the amazing 1976. This is more layered and possibly more complex, but has much more of that "old Champagne" funk that rarely thrills me with its loss of energy. Still... very enticing.

Richard Juhlin Top 100 Day 1 @ Gustav Zürich (Restaurant Gustav Zürich): not blind Fresher than the 76 CdC previous flight, even colour is a bit darker. Dried fruits but great acidity structure. Pink grapefruit beside the honey note. Fine bubbles. In better shape than one yearbefore. 96-97

Still bubbles and great golden colour. Distinctive Comtes. Hazelnuts, vanilla, Toffee, butterscotch, dried fruits as figs and dates. Richard Juhlin identifies it immediately after 20 seconds. Respect. Reaching his peak. I would drink it now. 95-96

Bienvenue a Champagne; 4/20/2023-4/29/2023 (Les Crayeres, various restaurants, Les Avises and a many wonderful producers): This again was more of the old champagne. It started off ok and drank reasonably well and then kindof went downhill with some time in the glass and got very dark and not as good. Ah well.
