  Beautiful on the nose, red fruit, roses, leather and licorice. But very dry on the palate and the tannins are more present than the other flavors. Much better with food as you would expect. Surprised this really hasn’t changed since my bottle in 2017. I will leave my last bottle —hoping the tannins will soften and the fruit will survive but we’ll see in another 5-7 yrs.

  Very intense aromatics, lots of licorice, white truffles, toasty oak, almost a floral character with earthy support. The palate is rich and powerful with firm yet fne grained tannins; it finishes with long (15 seconds) strawberry and leather notes. This is a wine and a half; it possesses everything that makes Nebbiolo such an exciting varietal in this unique terroir. It is the sort of wine which will inspire people to try and replicate (unsuccessfully) outside of Barolo.
