Quick pour to decanter, let sit perhaps 90 minutes. Color garnet with twinges of orange and brown. We drank this with grilled chicken and steak tip kabobs, and the longer it sat open the more expansive it became. Aromas of red and sour cherries mixed with leaf tobacco, smoke, and dusty rose. Nice concentration carries into a fairly long finish of cherries and tobacco, and then a much longer earthy aftertaste. Drinking perfectly now, but still has the acidity and structure of tannins to keep going for another 5 to 8. My price for this was 30, and I wish I had bought another six, but this was the last bottle.

Aerate decant and let sit 2 hours. Color ruby garnet darkened with sediment. Beautiful evolved aromas of leather, fresh tobacco as well as smoke and a little cigarette, roses, and sour cherry. Largely the same transferring to palate, with an overall balanced presentation that included drying dusty tannins. Overall an excellent mildly aged Barolo that is drinking well now. Hats off to Ian Dorian for this reco, and I'm glad to have a few bottles to follow over the next 5-10 years.

Smooth vanilla. Nice and rounded, yet full taste. Wonderful matured.

Largely the same profile as my previous note, though now showing a little more age. Fruit intact, as is the acid. Two to go.
