Nose is ripe pears, nectarine, honey, a touch of melons. Rich & weighty. Off dry, roughly 9g/l residual sugar yet the acid hides it well. Broad texture, good finish. Flavours are much the same as the nose, with honey, pears and nectarines. 14% ABV. Drank this bottle with lamb saag spinach curry & garlic naan - lovely.

Practice Blind Papers with MW Students - Paper 1: (Tasted Blind). Light yellow in colour with gentle nuance of celery salt and white pepper flows to a soft linear entry with piercing acidity and gently warming alcohol. Light to mid bodied, the flavours are lemon rind almost chalky dry in texture, some pepper, Forelle pear and a savoury twist. Quite juicy at its core, the horizontal acidity tugs at the tongue and then the finish opens up to reveal a sweet candy note towards rich strawberries and cream. Could have been Gruner or Pinot Gris. Good quality wine with a sinewy feel, touch of sweetness and a strawberry, ginger edge favours Pinot Gris.

The wine looks light gold colored. The legs are medium. It smells like lime, lemon, peach, apricot, pear, honeysuckle and acacia. The body is medium. The wine has round texture. The wine finishes medium. The wine has medium acidity.

Fresh aromatic nose of peach, floral and slight spice. Light to medium weight by Alsatian pinot gris standards. Almost fully dry finish, with decent acidity disturbed only by a fairly slight touch of heat. Lighter on its feet than most, and leaning in the direction of being on the elegant side.
