Buondonno Riserva vertical tasting plus other Sangiovese (Wine Taste Gdansk): Much better than the bottle I drunk for my bday 1.5 years ago, but maybe not super complex. It had quite balsamic smell, with also some mature red fruits, orange peel. On the palate it seem at a perfect stage, just before getting after its peak, with quite intense tannins, high acidity and a long finish.

Gave it about 15 minutes in the glass and then drank over a couple of hours. Initially quite spicy with a little bit of a harsh edge. By the 30 minute mark this had totally smoothed out and the edge was gone. Dark red fruits and some earthy elements. After about 90 minutes this had changed again into a more darker sullen wine which really surprised me. I didn't enjoy it's last change and I think if you have any bottle drink up with a minimal decant. This went from really nice at the 20 minute mark to not so good at the 80 minute mark. Very strange for a 10 year old brunello.

2013 Brunello 'ten years on' masterclass at 67 pall mall (67PM): Darkish ruby. Super generous nose; really juicy, some vanilla and dried flowers. Less acidic than some other 2013s. Chalky tannins but these are smoothed out by the oak influence. Outstanding red and black fruits; tastes quite ripe. All in brilliant balance. Pretty primary at this stage! I'd be v pleased to have a lot of this.

Plum, cherry, herbs and some Brett character. Very prominent tannins and medium+ acidity. Ready to drink but can easily sit around for another few years. Still worth decanting for a bit as it opened up over dinner.

Bricking garnet. On the nose, notes of balsamic, mushroom sauce, minty herb, and red cherry. Medium plus body, with a silky smooth mouth feel. Spicy cherries, eucalyptus, sarsaparilla, sandalwood, cocoa and a nice medium length leathery finish. Very good! In a great drinking window.
