Floral, herbal nose with some leather, menthol and dried cherry as well. Relatively light, elegant mouth. Firm tea leaf tannins in the savory mineral laden finish. Very nice.

Satisfying nose of tertiary leather, dried cherry, very slight wood induced menthol. Medium weight. Well balanced acids and tannins on the firm structure. Still going strong, and exactly what I hope for in a Brunello at this price point.

Dark red color. PNP, drank a couple glasses over 2 hours. Wow, this took me a bit by surprise. This showed beautifully tonight and on a another level from previous bottles. Pretty aromatics, deeply earthy, lots of leather and floral overtones, yet the scorched earth and mineral notes stand out too along with a purity to the deep cherry fruits. Layered and velvety in texture, this has melded together beautifully and exudes elegance and balance. The last bottle going out with a bang. At peak, wishing I had more now. 93+pts.

Drank a while ago. Starting to dry out, but was still a nice Italian red. Some of Tuscany's 2006s have more structural elements than flesh, and I think this may be one. Drink soon. 89
