Of the four wines served at a recent banquet, this was my favorite. Beautifully paired with a salmon horseradish mousse, it sparkled on the tongue, bright and fruity with great depth and lingering aftertaste.

Stylistically this wine is a very ripe tropical, exotic style of SB with roundness and creaminess from neutral oak and I suspect some lees contact. Great for people who don't like the firm acids of SB but like the riper aromas of that varietal's spectrum... Good balance between very ripe fruit and firm acidity, good persistence on finish, great intensity of fruit flavors, ok complexity... very nice fresh texture and good expression of place... drink now or age short term 1-3 years... really enjoyed this wine.

Very very soft aromas. There's some mild tree bark and only the lightest melon noticed. The palate is fuller, showing quite smooth, light tartness and then some bitter sour apple comes in that coats the back of my mouth. The finish is very tart, puckering, and grippy. Coating, bitter fruit and bitter oaky acid linger.

Fruity and herbal in a NZ style. Lemon, fresh cut grass, white grapefruit nose with a hint of minerality. Smooth, yet crisp, palate with lemony citrus, herbs, and juniper berry. Lots of acidity, yet very quaffable - bright as opposed to tart. Medium-plus length Valencia orange finish. Liked this a lot. Drink now.
