Guided by prior experience, I presumed this bottle well past its due date. Signed by Mike when purchased at Grgich, it had become a souvenir to look at in my cellar. The cork did not want to be removed from the bottle and split, a sure confirmation of the worst to come, but once removed, what a surprise. It was Delicious. Transformed by age, I discovered a multi layered texturally rich golden colored liquid that exuded scents of what the French call agrume (citrus melange), quince, lemon verbena, honeysuckle. Comparison with an aged Sancerre would not be inappropriate. Bravo Mike.
