Should be decanted for heavy sediment. Perfumed, spiced and full of plum and blueberry. Integrated and nearly seamless, though the mouthfeel is somewhat powdery. A classy showing at age 10 and likely at peak.

Brilliant ruby/purple with no sign of age; bright and clear. Generously perfumed, with complex notes of purple flower, brown spices, pie crust, cedar, plum and clove. A harmonious and generous palate that offers class and length, but just the slightest touch of EtOH, too, suggesting more air and/or a few more years in the cellar. More interesting on the nose than the palate, this is nonetheless a winner (though the price seems a bit ahead of itself). 14,3% abv., now and for the next 5-6 years before it begins its decline.
Aerated to decanter 2 hours, returned to bottle and served non-blind 4 hours later.

Decanted for 2 hours, but was tempted to drink faster. My first bottle of the V and I did find it very approachable and delicious. I like Petit Verdot!
