Aromas of dark fruit waft up upon opening and continue into the glass. Concentrated flavors of cassis, plum and blueberries. Good acid, balanced. Based on earlier notes, tannins have softened but are not disappearing. Those holding this in well kept cellars should ignore drink by dates of 2016 or 2017. This is drinking well now and should continue at least to the end of 2024. But have at it soon. I doubt that it’s getting better.

2017 GFGWTC Red Wine Red Meat Dinner (Ruth's Chris Minneapolis): Blackish, midnight purple color. Peppers and star anise on the expressive nose. Some heat. Concentrated, dense, and a touch chewy palate, but otherwise velvety palate of black fruits and plum. Full, but not overdone. Perky acidity and med+ finish. Held it's own in company as much as 10x the price.

Just a pleasure to drink. This reminds me of a northern Rhone wine in a warm year. This was elegant and refined yet juicy and lush. Rare combination.

Still going strong. Very new world, but quite delicious. The last few CT notes are spot on

This was a spectacular experience. From magnum. No rush to drink up, aging nicely, should last for several more years. WWOOWW!
