  • Pop and poured at home. Cork closure. Drank over 3 hours.
Appearance is clear, medium intensity, gold colour. Legs.
Nose is clean, medium+ intensity, with aromas of integrated nutty toasty oak, salty minerality, citrus lemon. Developed.
On the palate, dry, high acidity, medium alcohol (13.5%), medium body. Medium+ flavour intensity, with flavours of integrated nutty toasted oak, tangy sea-salt minerality, gobs of sweet ripe lemon fruit, honeyed peach. Lip-smackingly good. I could drink this all night long. Long finish.
Very good quality. High standard New World Chardonnay, almost Burgandian with only the sweetness of the fruit giving a hint of its New World pedigree. Nicely aged and drinking so well now. Drink up over next 1 year.
30% new oak used. From red soil over limestone.
Deteriorated on day 2 under vacuum seal. Minerality decreased, leaving honeyed notes, pineapple fruit and alcoholic heat.
