Unfortunately only got a glass and a half, didn't have time to really get to know the wine. But I got just enough to write a brief note. It's really gorgeous, even though it's largely closed down at this early stage. The nose is very faint, with slight chalky or flinty minerals, white flowers, some cream and lemon, but just a whisper- the palate a lot clearer, with a gorgeous lingering almond tone, vivid and complex. Lots of minerality on the finish too. Very far from a "big" or buttery style, but has really nice weight. Just give it at least another few years to become more expressive. I'm continuing to realize that good Chardonnay is one of the most important things to (lightly) age. Will be an easy 94, maybe 95 on my scale with time.
Medium lemon colour. Medium (+) and developing nose with ripe green apples, yellow apples, almond, flint, smoke, wet stone, butter and bread dough. Pronounced taste of yellow apples, baked lemon, bread dough, wet stone and smoke. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium (+) body. A very good Geelong Chardonnay. Part of my WSET3 exam prep. Drink now or over the next five years. Goes well with cheeses, fish and shellfish.

Aussie Chardonnay made in a very Burgundian style - maybe most similar to a 1er Chablis. Sleek, linear and focused, just a bit flinty. Excellent acid, Lemon-Kumquat fruit, and less developed green apple and hazelnut notes supporting it. Oak is well integrated, showing just a sense of textural creaminess. Very nice with a rich Black Cod dish.

Gold with an edge of green. Really inviting fresh nose with some reserved mineral notes. A focussed and linear palate. Medium bodied. Tastes "cool". Excellent length and persistence. Varietal character strong, especially as the palate unfolds. Really long. Light Lime oil, hazelnuts, mineral notes and a touch of vanilla at the end. Lovely focussed wine with restraint. Savoury. Great with food
