Drank next to the 1993 and was clearly superior. Surprisingly youthful with at least five years until peak. Reticent on the nose but shows power in the mouth. Blackberries, black current, chocolate, sight herbaceous/bramble. Green bell pepper came out after an hour. Big long, grippy finish.

4th Saturday group "uptown" tasting (Joe P's): Darker color than the others in this flight. Aromas of tobacco, blackberries, dried fruit and leather. Balanced, with black cherry, red fruit, leather and herb flavors.

- From magnum. Dark spice, cedar and mossy loam--a very Bordeaux-like nose that sweetened up significantly with time. - Sweet and soft on entry with very well integrated tannins, mellow, ripe currant and plum flavors with great texture and length. - This continued to grow and impress in the glass. Perfectly mature but showing no signs of decline. Drink now - 2010.

Hard to imagine a bottle of Cab any better than this one, but leaving a little room just in case. Drank on Father's Day weekend, with friends, in a vertical with the 92 and 93, and blew them both away. Smooth, not tannic at all. "Welcoming, exquisite, rounded tenor." Embraced the palate. Here's one friend's comment on the tasting: "And the flight of Pride was lush, velvety, brash, saucy, and had a clean finish on the palate with just the merest touch of refined IMPERTINENCE. (LOL! sorry, couldn't resist)."

Cherry, blackberry, smooth. Past peak. Would not sit on this any longer.

The Robert Foley Band: Wine and Rock & Roll in the Green Mountains.; 7/21/2006-7/22/2006 (Friday night at my house, Saturday at Bisto Sauce in Shelburne): The Robert Foley Band (Bob, Dave McCullough, Michael Greene) and Bob's wife, Kelly were at my house for dinner last night and it was also my wife's birthday. So I thought it would be appropriate to drink the bottle Bob had given us as a wedding present. Bob was still at Markham when these grapes were crushed but he said that he did "tweak and finish" the wine.
