Similar to the bottle drunk in July 2021, this was just positively gorgeous! Everything in its place. Delicious fruit. Wows around the table. Sorry it’s my last 2003 cab.

Deep garnet. Nose of black fruits, licorice, hint of seasoned salt. Mouth long lasting, anise, black fruits. Really in my wheelhouse. Still Bob Foley, I think.

Another early 2000s Pride red that is aging beautifully. Medium to full bodied and decadently silky. Delicious blackberry and plum fruit. Really interesting to read CT reviews from @10 years ago saying to “drink up” and that the wine isn’t going to get any better, when this is so excellent now in 2021 and so clearly has years and years of superb drinking ahead (assuming appropriate cellaring). Parker gave this an 88+ rating in 2005 (saying it needed at least 2-3 years, unusual for a Pride cab), but I expect a decently higher score would be given if RP were to taste it today. On day two, after 1/3 bottle was corked and left on the kitchen counter overnight for @15 hours, this is still singing and delicious, though the fruit isnt quite as strong as last night yet the nose is still —- put your nose in the glass and you won’t want to remove it.
