  Was pleasantly surprised after this opened up after 15-30 minutes. My first taste was not so great but it really opened up and was great with our steak dinner. Definitely give some time after opening before drinking.

  A little disappointing. Nice, deep red color and enticing aromas of ripe black fruits, smoked meat, spices and chocolate. A little one dimensional in the mouth, however, with good balance and fully integrated tannins but not much depth and a short finish. Time to drink up.

Initial flavors of cinnamin dough, earthy spice, smoky meat, and dark berries covered the palate, but not overboard, felt like a feminine wine. Soft, smooth, and very floral. Nice spicy mid palate full of white pepper and raspberry. Medium finish. Sat in the decanter about an hour. Still has plenty of life. Nice finish of smoky game and black cooked raspberries. Yum!
