Another solid Syrah from Walla Walla. The aromas are of blueberry, black cherry and olive tapenade. Dark purple in color this wine is medium to full-bodied with medium tannins and acidity. the flavors are of blackberry, boysenberry with classic pepper notes on the lengthy finish. Great wine for any occasion.

4th Saturday Brown Bagger (R&D’s): Double blind. Black fruit, herb and earthy notes. Medium-bodied, with flavors of black fruit and chocolate. Lingering finish. Excellent. (J&L)

Did a recent virtual wine tasting with the winemaker Serge that featured this wine. As promised this is ready now, yet quite aggressive in its flavor. Really good, and we are glad that we have more.

Tasted in a full glass pour in their Walla Walla tasting room
Appearance: deep purple/ruby, no gas or sediment, lots of legs
Nose: medium(+) intensity black cherry and loamy earthiness and a little bit of wet stone. Well-integrated medium oakiness
Palate: medium(-) tannins, medium(+) acidity, very well balanced and medium(+) compexity. Deep flavors of black cherry, with some blackberry and stony earthiness. Off dry and creamy. Medium length juicy dark red fruit finish
Yummy and fruit forward. Lots of depth and undertones of earthiness. A very nice ripe Rhone blend! I would have bought a bottle if had room in my luggage...
