  • Still drinking so young for a Pinot noir of 17 years. On the nose, red strawberry, and other red fruits. An amalgamation of tertiary flavours linger the in background (mushrooms and earth). Beautifully balanced. There’s no rush to drink these bottles. Wonderful! 96+

  • Opened (375ml) with trepidation after recent 2006 Mount Mary Quintet (375ml) fail but this was so different and so youthful. Colour was pristinely young/bright. Flavour was young and very fruit driven - raspberry, cherry, a little mushroom, leather and wine lees. Perhaps a little simple but delicious. With time developed distinct darker and spicier flavours. Cinnamon and fruit cake. A really nice experience.

  • 375ml bottle. Dark and murky. Some bottle stink that blew off after 15mins. Primary fruit has disappeared leaving lovely berry, mushroom flavours. Long and satisfying. X factor wine. 2nd night similar.

  • Diam. Lots of fruit sweetness on the nose and palate with red berries, cherry and some earthy truffle tones. Tannins are nothing much to speak of and acidity is very much enveloped in the fruit. Quite light, but very pleasant to drink. Perhaps will offer more tertiary characteristics over the next 5 years. If I was being picky, it's a little simple right now.

  • Ruby red, light rim.
Dominated by bright sweet red berry fruits but with earthy tones, some wood spice and gentle cherry fragrance.lifted violet-like florals.
Soft and fleshy with tangy bright red berry flavours. Crisp acid adds bite to the otherwise soft fine tannins on the finish. Supple, delicate but intensely flavoured, xcellent structure. Super ripe flavours, a little dark spice, but needs longer to develop greater complexity. A good year bodes well and this wine does typically age very well.
