Typically pale red, cherry red, light rim. Sour cherry and lightly earthy, smooth and refined. Silky and refined, superbly smooth finish. Red and black cherry, sour cherry zest, sweet ripe fruit, delicious and very drinkable now. Acidity is perfect, tannins very fine. Has some years ahead of it.z

I'm a bit unsure about this one. There was nothing obviously wrong with the bottle (i.e., no cork taint or oxidation), but I just didn't get much flavour out of it!. A bit of cherry, but not much length. If there was flavour here it was too subtle for my palate. Opened just before dinner so didn't leave any time for breathing; and maybe this was a problem.
Its still young so I will leave the remaining bottles for a few years. Hopefully it will live up to the ratings (and cost!).

Mount Mary New Release Tasting: Light smoke, cherry, some herbs, raspberry and a little stalk. Very savoury on the palate, good acidity and lighter fruit style. Very much like the restraint, but a little more depth would see this up to the next level.

United Cellars Grand Cru Pinot Noir Tasting & Masterclass Series (Angel and Ash. Corner of Angel Place and Ash Street, Sydney CBD, New South Wales, Australia.): Light nose, very clean, young, smidge aniseed, morning freshness. Medium mouthfeel, medium fruit weight, very pure, clean fruit, medium sweet cherry, seamless transition, very long finish. Enjoyable. Maybe rate the 2010 higher. Very accessible now.
