I am as impressed with The Doyenne Aix Syrah today as I was 4 years ago. Dark and powerful but, not lacking in fruit. So Cote Rotie in style. Lots of bacon fat, black and red fruit, Krishna, mineral and spice. Still in its prime.

Thick layers of cherries and plums. Bit oily, finishes with some mint.

Hmm - sometimes you leave a bottle just a little too long. A little chalky not as jammy. Berry notes -
