Tasted after a hour of air. Very dark almost opaque. Dark tar scents. Some spicy notes. Dark red fruits and some tar. Fine grained tannins. Medium finish.

This was very good. Still young. Decanted for an hour. Aromas of blood, raw beef, spice, and dark fruit. Well balanced tannin and acidity. Paired beautifully with Korean bulgolgi. Very happy to have more bottles. Will try another in a year.

Hadn't realized this was 60 as opposed to 50% syrah until perusing the back label
This probably accounts for the smoky element on the nose.
Smooth tannins, medium acidity, enough depth to balance basque cooking
