Palate: Medium dark fruits (as in dark fruits with still some brightness), subtle earth, savory minerals and steeped tea on the finish. A nice juiciness to on the finish that brings everything together. A well rounded wine.

But, you can buy 5 for the price of 1...: Super pretty nose. Red fruits on the palate. A hint of toast and dark chocolate. Complex with a long finish. Most balanced of the 5 in the blind tasting. As good as it is and as good as the score I am going to give it, there is something about it after the reveal that makes me feel like this wine is made with the intention of pleasing people versus prioritizing the terroir and the vintage. Regardless, this was super consistent from pour and into the evening and enjoyable.
had two bottles of this recently. Nice, lovely, elegant, slender, feminine wine with a soft supple playful structure...but it did not live up to the critics' high scores, mostly due to flavor profile--a little bit on the sweet, vanilla side coupled with sour cherry, mild mocha....finish okay, not long...

This started out very jammy. After a few hours it got softer, but it still needs a few years to measure up to all the press on this one

Blind tasting (5 bottles in $10 - $500 range) (The Sumoba compound): Nose: Clean red fruits with a bit of brightness, wet stones and snapped twigs. Floral aromatics got better with some air on this.
Palate: Medium dark fruits (as in dark fruits with still some brightness), subtle earth, savory minerals and steeped tea on the finish. A nice juiciness to on the finish that brings everything together. A well rounded wine.
