  • a little strange at first but then everything came together. still very dark color tho it was maybe unfaily paired with a 85 mouton and and 89 ermitage that was rated 100 pts by parker.

  • Dinner at Bacchanalia with Jeff. Deep red color. Nose of cedar, sage, tobacco and a little mint. Bright acidity for a 30 yr old CA wine. Actually began to show after an hour in the glass. I made the mistake of not decanting. I should have. As I said before, this has reached it's peak and will probably head downhill in about 5 years. In the meantime enjoy a CA marvel.

  • Cellar party for Bayfront Medical Center Foundation. OK, I don't know where the Wine Spectator point score comes from but this wine was just kickin on all cylinders. The color was amazing, deep and dark with legs hanging down the insode of the glass. Don't get me wrong, it's NOT gonna get any better and I wouldn't keep it too much longer. Damn though, this is soooooo beautiful and sexy. Totally blew away the guests at the party.
