  From a perfectly stored bottle
  Still deep ruby black with just a hint of pink garnet at the rim
  Moderate crust on the bottle
  Pungent aromas of black walnut with some cinnamon and amaretto and light violets
  Brilliant acidity with some black walnut, black olive tapenade flavors.
  Absolutely exquisite cali cab. 12%

  I was really surprised how well this wine has held up. It had rather poor storage from release to at least 1991. Light pretty nose and the body had obvious tannin but fruit to match it. Another one of my older wines that I can only imagine how good they would be if given good storage all the way. Pretty wine that brings back memories when we tasted it at our first picnic, tour by Al and tastings after near the lake. Great times and wine.
