Medium-dark red color. Bell pepper, smoke, and cassis, complex bouquet. Still has moderate tannins to offset its dense fruit extract. Very long finish. Surprisingly backward for a Napa cab. At 30 years old.

Not decanted. Cork is clean showing no past seepage. Medium-light ruby core with a slight garnet rim in the glass. Upfront, mature aromas of cassis, red cherry, leather, tobacco and cedar. The palate is fresh with more bright cherry, cranberry, sandlewood, and graphite. The wine is medium-bodied with a bright tang of strong acidity. Tannins are present but well integrated. Finishes at medium-plus length. There was a fair amount of residue at the bottom of the bottle so recommend a decant next time. Overall, this was quite enjoyable and has aged beautifully. I felt it was only at the beginning of its drinking window and still has plenty of life left. The wine continued to improve in the glass.

Clear red color with a slight brown edge at the rim. Aromas of dried herbs (sage?) combined with salty, smokey, dried meats. Lots of acid that overpowers the fruit, otherwise harmonious. Deep, aged red fruit component that is really enjoyable.

Nice cherries and berries with a bit of tartness on the finish. Has many more years in it.
