  • 100% Shiraz
    from the 5 ha Gnadenfrei vineyard in Marananga (under contract since 2005 and acquired in 2013)
    of very dark, heavy clay loam over red clay, planted in 1958 by the legendary Malcolm Seppelt,
    meticulously hand-tended, unirrigated, traditionally-farmed and pruned.
    Aged 36 months in new French Allier oak barriques coopered by Dominique Laurent and known as ‘MagicCasks'.
    Unfined, unfiltered.
    15.5% Abv.

    A(ccuracy)=2: Deep ruby. Plummy, jammy varietal.
    B(alance)=2: Ripe fruit forward with high tone acid and tannic structure.
    C(omplexity)=3: Dark berries, plum, dark chocolate, cinnamon, licorice.
    D(epth)=2: Opulent mouthfeel. Full length and finish.
