Translucent garnet, no signs of age. Very fruity nose. Watery mouthfeel, very juicy more sweet plum than cherry,a little savoury, black olive. Grippy tannins, mildly drying but not unpleasant. Sweet slightly drying finish. Perfect for. Enough stuffing to hold but why? Lovely

Joel's Tuscan Lunch (The wilds of Kent): Crunchy red plum, a little smoke, some Parma violet, tomato paste Really rich deep cherry, a hint of cough linctus (in a good way), fresh a lifted, sapid finish. Really really lovely finish. I thought this was an excellent example of how Rosso can play a different game to Brunello and excel at it.

Tuscan Lunch chez Joel (Kent countryside, UK): Inky and showing forest floor with red fruits. Quite tight at the moment and tannic with hot rocks in evidence. After some time in the glass it broadens its shoulders and gains better balance. Did not enjoy this nearly as much as when I had this BTG and wonder if it would have shown better by itself following a decant? Served PnP.

Joel's Tuscan Lunch (A farmhouse in leafy Kent): Rather high-toned on the nose, with lots of sweet red fruit, at times reminiscent of boiled sweets. Better on the palate, silky and elegant with the red fruit accented with spice and bolstered by tannin. A juicy but slightly short finish. Needs a few years for some savoury notes to develop and the wine to relax somewhat.

Red fruit, a touch of spiciness, prominent tannins. Too young, I expect more in future, but now nice drinking.
