Drank at Champetre Friday nite with DeCiccos, Uliano & Ozman. Ruby color in glass, no age apparent. Very fruity nose--cherries and wood notes. Lots of red cherry fruit, spice, fairly concentrated and intense. Long spicy finish, which also had a touch of bitterness. Solid acidic core was not intrusive. Liked, didn't love this CdP. Was a bit hot and I believe needs some more time.

Fantastic, very delicious and wild, yet easy drinking CDP. Wild and savory notes with lush cherries, steel, precise and giving. Was great with dry aged ribeye and thyme veggies. But was at its best with the smokey, bacon cheeseburger of my daughter. The syrah and bacon were made for each other. Cheers!
Drank over 60-90 minutes and each glass was better than last but all were terrific.

(at The Milton Inn - Baltimore) Glorious bottle for Easter lunch. The way I like Cheauteuneuf - lots of fruit, lots of southern funk but plenty of balance and harmony. I remember speaking to one of the leading winemakers from the area who told me he prefers drinking chateauneuf at age 7. Right on this was wonderful. (93)

Very good Cdp! Will be interesting to see how this wine evolves over time - especially the hot and lengthy finish.
