Upgrade from my bottle 2 months ago. Drank as nice mid-week pinot and seemed more together this time and no funny tastes. A steal if you can really get it at auction price of $48, maybe a little pricy above $70.

Consistently my least favorite of the Martinelli pinots, which isn't to say it's not good or worth it's price, it's just not quite the same. Like the texture and balance a lot, just something in the flavor profile is off.

My score is really a marginal one and I should have probably scored this an 89... It was extremely well made but as seems typical of too many C-noirs, it was all chicka cherry cola after about an hour of exposure to air. I understand that many Californians don't want their Pinots any other way so bully for you, but I'm increasingly tilting towards the styles that pair well with food and this cherry cola stuff doesn't really.
People keep emailing me about what I mean by C-noirs, O-noirs, etc. C-noir=California style Pinot Noir, G-noir=German style Pinot Noir (Spateburgunder), Kiwi-noir=New Zealand, O=Oregon, I=Italian, A=Australia, etc etc. I don't abreviate real French Burgundies.....

Definitely "off". Distinctive burnt cherries aroma and flavor profile. Disappointing.

Kind of agree with Levinml’s 3/6/22 notes. Something in the taste profile seemed off to me in this bottle. Still good, but not great.
