  • Opened and followed in the decanter. Ready to go after about 45-50 minutes. One of Martinelli's more feminine pinots. The showing, and TN, for this bottle is virtually identical to our bottle of 8/8/21, that I repeat here:
"The color was a clear light violet. The nose was mostly bright red fruits, with some earth and a touch of cola. The medium bodied palate showed lots of bright red fruit, some darker red fruits, a fair amount of spice, some earth, and a touch of cola. The acidity was juicy and balancing."
This wine may continue to hold.

  • Really enjoyable. Great nose, with notes of lighter red fruits. Long finish.

  • I had this as part of a New World Pinot Noir tasting with my wine group. Of the 4 Pinots, this had the highest alcohol %, but it carried it very well, as this was either the favorite or 2nd favorite wine for all 8 of us. Medium bodied with a long finish, there were notes of dark red fruits and licorice on the palate.

  • Decanted for 45 minutes with a small amount of sediment. The color was a clear light violet. The nose was mostly bright red fruits, with some earth and a touch of cola. The medium bodied palate showed lots of bright red fruit, some darker red fruits, a fair amount of spice, some earth, and a touch of cola. The acidity was juicy and balancing. Should hold for a few years, but enjoy now with a good decant.

  • Slo-oxed for 45 minutes, based on our previous TN. This bottle showed very similar to that previous bottle and confirmed for us that this is one of Martinelli's best "feminine" pinot noirs. IMHO it produces a pinot that is lighter in color, weight, and fruit profile -- as compared with their Blue Slide, Lolita Ranch, and Bondi Home Ranch.
