Medium ruby color. Pronounced aromas of red cherries, cranberry, cedar. High acidity, low tannin, medium alcohol, light bodied. Pronounced flavors of red cherries, cranberry, cedar and wet stone. Long finish.
I really liked this wine. It had been a while since I last had a Martinelli PN. This was worth the wait!

Not sure about this experience with this bottle from Martinelli. I looked over my last note and had clearly enjoyed and praised this offering. This time around I got more primary red cherry with a ridge of harshness on the palate. It felt like a bit of a mohawk in the middle of my tongue. I really don't know how to better describe it, especially compared to my first tasting note of this wine. Maybe it was an off night for my palate or in fact there was something a bit different going on in this bottle. Definitely a far different impression than previous note. I am thinking a longer decant would have served this wine well. Probably guilty of opening this one too early.

My favorite 2018 Martinelli Pinot thus far. Luscious and rich fruit. Velvety mouthfeel with red berries, cherry and ripe delivery. I enjoy this profile as it features the purity and freshness of the fruit. I know this elicits criticism at times, but I think it is a sign this wine will continue to integrate, evolve and show other characteristics. I think this foundation of fruit bodes well for the future of this wine.
