This wine is a Citrus Dream. The previous reviewer has an amazing palate, and the sample I just opened is fresh, exuberant, and complex now at 7 years of age. The chalk is kissed with the lightest tones of white nectarine and spearmint. The Lemon / Lime oil has a great mouthfeel, and at this time of development has a bit of the Signature Torbreck crystallized Pineapple. I can imagine everything from Caribbean to Contemporary Southwestern Cuisine. What a special place to grow Semillion!

Rich and toasty nose, lemon curd and salty minerality, aromatic green herbs, very good depth; really full-bodied palate (14.5% ABV) with lots of juicy and ripe citrus fruit, but the firm acidity effortlessly balances all that heft; complete finish, good to very good length. This is an excellent Barossa Sémillon, much bigger than the traditional low-alcohol style, but with lots of energy and interest.

Some fruit on the nose. Mostly wood and earth notes. Nice balance. Drinkable and a good weight mouth feel that matched well with BBQ shrimp with mild spice. Heavier than a Pinot Grigio and mess than a Chardonnay and a wine that nicely fills the space between those wines.

Semillon Blind Tasting (Oinoscent): Fine and acid based nose, citrus, lemon, some floral notes in the back, flinty, keeps the intensity in the glass for some time. In the palate, the wine follows the same pattern, med body and intensity, citrus, lemon, nutty flavors, layered, complex but not loud, med intensity and med to long finish. Very good quality, drink now or hold

Still strong fruit appeal, good weight, but some harshness has crept into the finish in this bottle. Not as attractive as previous examples.
