One of those wines which I really have a hard time putting back in the fridge. One more teeny tiny pico-glass. Similar to the previous note- herbs, blackberry and a hint of cumin- but just so moreish tonight.

Completely understand the notes which describe this as overly vegetal. It definitely has a lot of herbal character, and if you find such flavors unacceptable this isn't for you.
I love it though. The blackberry fruit mixed with the green notes is a wonderful combination, with neither component becoming overwhelming, and there's plenty of complexity in this wine. Lovely structure as well, with plenty of body. A wine I could savor for days and days.
In fact this was tasted over the course of three days and it was still going strong at the end. I think in time the limitations of the vintage might start to catch up with it, so I'm going to be drinking mine sooner rather than later. But for the time being I think this is a great wine, providing a great deal of pleasure providing you can live with the greenness.

Bright garnet color in the glass. Tight nose at first but opened up. Fruit, cassis, some chocolate. Pretty big wine still. Tannins are moderate. Still has some years left. A day later the wine still showed lots of fruit.

Green on the nose with a faint touch of pickle juice. Palate has more cherry. A bit structured, a bit taught. Just opened.
