Earthy aromas along with cream, oak, cedar, cassis, and blackberry.
The palate is full of Blackberry, cassis, black cherry, cloves forest floor, bell pepper, and cedar.
Medium minus acidity and medium chalky tannins.
You would think you were drinking a young wine with how fresh the fruits were. I think the high-end J Lohr I had after this came off like a young closed Bordeaux, while this reminded me of a young Napa outside of the tannins and the trademark Bordeaux aromas.

Tanners: This has a lovely red cherry and strawberry fruit and is sleek and elegant wtih great length and fine structure. Martin: The palate is medium-bodied with a relatively soft entry, well-integrated oak, dark berried fruit, a touch of tar, some tobacco/espresso developing.

Quite a closed nose at first, nice mouthfeel from velvety tannins, quite a big scaled wine with plenty of power, yet for some reason the fruit has not quite fully swallowed all of the oak and the oak sticks out a bit. Initially the wine felt a bit disjointed and unbalanced but improved in the glass. Not a wine I would make a big effort to find, but if given the chance, would happily enjoy a bottle over a hearty meal.
I’m really enjoying this wine here but will be patient to see how it develops. One note that over three hours of airtime I felt like the fruit dropped off quickly leaving earth, minerals and herbs/mushroom that dominated. Guessing this means sweet spot - to my taste - will be over next 3-5 years

Très beau claret.
Sur les fruits rouges, le tabac et le chocolat.
Les tannins sont serrés et la finale
bien longue et persistante.
Excellent.
