  My WOTN, but the ‘00 will eventually eclipse this. Beautiful dusty nose. Green pepper, blackberry, black cherry, library leather palate. Only thing holding back a higher score is a somewhat short finish vs the ‘00. 94

  Just classic, well made Bordeaux at its peak. Beautiful nose of cedar, graphite, and red fruits. On the palate this is really, really nice, with pencil shavings, more cedar, and dark cherries. Tannins are fully integrated and it's in a sweet spot where the fruit and secondary characteristics are dancing together seamlessly. I'm sure this can hold for a long time, but for my tastes, I'd suggest drinking now.

  Dîner de Noël des anciens C&S (Restaurant Bagatelle): Nez racé, rapidement situé en Bordeaux rive gauche. La bouche est droite et très classique, je pensais à un Pauillac 1996. À bien y penser, il avait ce côté austère noble du millésime, avec un super équilibre, une fraicheur adéquate. Très bon. 93 pts
