Good Barolo and Barbaresco (67 Pall Mall): Bigger, sweeter and in a different category of maturity to the four reds that preceded it. Real weight of red fruit, attractive structure, responded well with time in the glass - plenty of time in hand, then.

Nick A's "Good Barolo and Barbaresco" at 67 PM (67 Pall Mall, London): Iodine, redcurrants and sweet pastry on the nose almost into Bakewell territory. Palate fresh and, for me, the palate with the most to say this evening. Tannins for once fully resolved. Acidity absolutely à point and great mouthfeel. My wine of the night.

Nick’s Barolo and Barbaresco (67 Pall Mall, London): Florally nose, put-pourri, perhaps a touch of confection. Cinnamon. Medium/full bodied, red fruited, mineral notes, fine but still slightly firm tannins, vibrant acidity carries a good length finish.

Nick's "Good Barolo and Barbaresco" Dinner - Friday 22 March, 67 Pall Mall; 3/24/2024-3/25/2024 (67 Pall Mall): Red fruited nose, very floral and open. A touch of something floury, wheaty. Lovely purity on the palate, with a dry, long finish.

Not quite as exuberant and flamboyant as the August bottle but still awesome. 4.5-
