  • So youngful, vivid in both nose and on palate. Elegant, acidic and smooth tannin. But not very favourite style.

  • Pretty serious! On the nose, violet, smoke, asphalt (tar?), black cherry. In the mouth, red cherry, dark plum, leather, licorice, slightly pushy tannins, balsamic, cedar. This will never be my favourite style of wine but it's an elegant example and paired well to wood-roasted bone marrow with black garlic.

  • Pale garnet colored. Beautiful elegant nose with dry leather and soft red berry notes. On the palate soft notes of dark cherries, dried strawberries, dry leather, forest floor and dried Mediterranean herbs. Medium bodied with a medium acidity. Soft and fine tannins, completely integrated. Very elegant structure and a beautiful complexity with lots of nice tertiary notes. Very good overall balance - definitely on its climax now. The finish is medium long to long and leaves nice soft berry notes on your tongue - simply delicious.
This is in a perfect spot right now and will stay here for the next few years. Time to open this beauty. (IG)

  • in a beautiful spot with soft tannins and integrated fruit dancing to the forefront then sometimes in the background changing with almost every sip
yet better the 2nd night so early in it's drinking life

  • Some wines with Jeff Chilcott: A lovely nose of spices, dark cherries and other dark fruit. On palate, savoury, umami flavours with blackcurrants and other dark fruits, dry earth, soy and mixed dried herbs. Powerful and driven with good structure, fruit weight and length. A beautiful match with my preserved fig dish and local cheeses. Thierry and I debated whether we preferred this wine or the 2007 Camp Gros we recently had. I preferred this wine and Thierry preferred the 2007. Years ahead of it, of course.
