Completely disagree with Colinscellar and Zeds opinions regarding it being over the peak, on a contrary, I think it just started to blossom few years back and it will continue at this plateau for at least another decade. Always a pleasure to come back to this cuvee especially from a great vintage such as this one. Made from a blend of 85% SB and 15% Semillon. Medium golden. Captivating concentrated & complex aroma straight after uncorking, notes of tropical fruits, pineapple, passionfruit, acacia, peaches, chalk, yellow plums, wet stones, nutty frangipane and quince hints. Full body, concentrated and ripe with great balance, terrific high and bright acidity, rich and multilayered deep flavours, saline hints, everlasting finish.

Past its best. Colour mid-gold and initial nose indicates some oxidation with nuttiness and sherry characters. The oxidation blows away a bit and the fruit opened up presenting some nice charred pineapple.

Great wine, but probably 1 year past its prime. Beautiful aromas and flavours of nutty goodness. Marzipan and almond were the most pronounced. There was a hint of bruised pear on the palate but otherwise not a lot of fruit left. A great wine, just wish we drank it alittle sooner.

(Domaine de Chevalier Blanc) Light yellow color; very appealing, lime cream, smoky, green fruit nose; tasty, poised, lime cream, ripe green fruit, mineral palate; medium-plus finish
