Middag og noen Bordeaux 80-tall: Klassisk Sauvignon og Semillon nese som minner om en tørr Sauternes, utviklet - men uten knekk og volatilitet, safran, malt curry; kompleks i munn og in finish, frisk, kunne vært lengre, lineær og klar. En ganske utviklet, men flott, flaske.

As suggested by the score of 94, simply outstanding, arguably the best bottle of any type I have had in some time. Perfect balance, excellent acidity with fruit still present. 37 years!
Aged white Bordeaux could be my favorite wine, at least a wine like this one.

Dunkles Goldgelb. Sehr reife Nase, nussige Noten verschmelzen mit reifem Apfel, Honig und einem Hauch Sherry. Im Gaumen cremig, rund, noch immer erstaunlich fit, natürlich mit der Aromatik eines reifen Weins, jedoch nicht tot, feine Säure, langer, Abgang mit Aromen, die an Baumnüsse erinnern. 1986 Left Bank Bordeaux: Very pale straw color; some beeswax, great depth to it, straws, complex; smooth, chewy, most balanced and long, a hint of candy, complex finish. A wonderful specimen.
